Designing Distributed Systems by Brendan Burns
2019-09-16
In January I attended the Microsoft LEAP conference in Seattle. One of the speakers were Brendan Burns. He gave a talk of the benefits and pitfalls of Kubernetes. Which he is a cocreator of.
He has written the book Designing Distributed Systems where he details different patterns of modern distributed systems (which seems to use Kubernetes).
Free e-book here. The book is short and sells the idea of containerized applications pretty well, although many says that Kubernetes is overkill.
